People imagine that a salon is about hair. It is not. It is about the chair.

Men would sit down and, somewhere between the first cut and the last, they would tell me things they had told no one else. I learned to listen more carefully than I spoke.

Man Cave Salon was my business, but it was also a room where people felt safe. That is the part I am proud of.
